SC2 tends to be more volatile and less strictly mechanical compared to BW so it's harder for one very good player to stay on top of everyone else for long. There haven't been any bonjwas for certain but Maru and Serral came pretty close last year, both of them with several prestigious wins in 2018. This is fairly subjective but those are imo the best, but a couple of them have been slumping. The top 5 right now (arguably) is Serral, Maru, Stats, TY, and Rogue.

What is the average APM for a professional in SC2? I know in SC1 it's somewhere between 300-400. Is there an APM counter in tournament broadcasted games? There's always one now for SC1, but I was surprised that I couldn't find any for SC2. Also, it is generally accepted as T > Z, Z > P, and P > T in SC1 is there anything comparable in SC2? in SC1, Zerg generally expand the most and have the most map control, Terran requires a ton of micro, has the least map presence but has the most cost effective units, Protoss has comparable unit composition playing against all races and has the tankiest/most expensive units. Why do the games seem so much faster (I've seen a lot of games end in 5 minutes, which is still SC1 early game)? I know that things die more quickly, but is this due to DPS being higher for units? Do units generally build faster? Move faster? Map size?Ä«etween the races, how would you describe each one and their playstyle/general trends? Ex. Is there an established top 5 list of players right now? Have there been any bonjwas in this game? Since I have no clue what's going on, can anyone answer the following questions for me? I don't even know half the units existed (never heard of a hellbat until now) I've never bothered to watch a professional SC2 game, but I was bored so I decided to give it a shot today. I played SC2 casually, but didn't really get into it and haven't since Wings of Liberty. I'm a longtime follower and player of SC1, and I watch basically every tournament so I know each professional player's expected skill/performance in a tournament and matchup, the possible builds, etc.
